The National Council of Women
is an educational charity run by women for
women. It is non-party and non-sectarian, and
all women in sympathy with its aims and
objectives may join. NCW relies both on
subscriptions and charitable giving to run its
day to day affairs.
Friends of NCW
are subscribers who receive the quarterly newsletter to
keep them in touch for a small annual
contribution. They can attend NCW seminars
and conferences. Membership of the
Friends scheme is open to men and women.

Individual members
pay their fees
directly to Headquarters and receive the
quarterly newsletter and the reports of all the
NCW committees' work by post or email, and this suits working
women and those not living near a Branch.
Individual members can participate in the
special interest groups that meet at the Danbury
Street Policy Centre in London. Some individual members have organised
themselves into small discussion groups, meeting
informally in each other’s houses.
