   Families in debt

'The  reasons why families get into serious debt problems are not always easy to establish.
So said  John Munn, an insolvency practitioner, at a recent NCW meeting.  There is a greed for money and what money can give us – everyone can be tempted!  There is a need to bring in regulations to stop people obtaining unsecured loans and prevent them from obtaining further loans when they already have a debt.  There is also a need to go into schools
to educate on ‘money management’ to encourage young people to be disciplined and to have a sense of responsibility. [MORE]

Employment

Should employers organize the work around individual employees' needs?

Forum contributor Louise said 'I would like to see shorter working hours for all, not just for women.  We don't need to work ourselves into the ground, trying to fit in our men, families, friends, hobbies and creativity, time for ourselves and our health / personal recreation etc.  It would be great to see a few perfectly created lives, geared around what we want out of our lives and not around the 9–5 routine.'
